Registration Deadlines
Roster Deadlines
- Team Captains will receive an email with the link to invite their paddlers.
- Up to 26 on roster (including the steers and drummer)
- Only paddlers listed on the electronic team roster shall be permitted to race at the event and practices.
- Community Team Rosters and waivers must be electronically submitted by July 26, 2024.
- Club Crew Team Rosters and waivers must be electronically submitted by August 6, 2024.
General Team Information
- Each registered team will receive a 10 x 10 tent for your team use within Athlete Village.
- Upon arrival on race day, you will receive a copy of Tent Village Map and be provided your assigned tent location. Your tent will have your team's name displayed.
- You are welcome to bring your own tables and chairs.
- No additional tents are permitted onsite.
- Each team must remain at their assigned tent area within the Athlete Village throughout the day to allow race officials to find your team if necessary.
- Each Team will race (3) 500 Meter Races. The captain's packet will be emailed to each captain the Monday prior to the event with additional details.
- Team Captain must be onsite at 6:30AM to check-in.
- There is no onsite parking. Most teams find parking at the Connecticut Convention Center the most convenient parking garage to use.
- If you would like to drop off supplies closer to your tent location, you may do so ONLY between 6am-7am on race day. You will not be able to drive directly up to your site, however you will be able to drive to the lower plaza and gain closer access.
- All other details will be included in the Captain's Packet to be sent on 8/12/24
Community teams’ registration fees include (2) pre-race day practices. Sign up will be available on May 1st, 2024. Please note that practices have limited time slot availability, therefore we suggest you register as soon as possible. There will also be the opportunity to purchase additional practices and lunches. The team captain will receive communication via the email used to register the team with these details as they become available. Please be sure to check this email frequently as well as the SPAM folder to ensure you are receiving all communications.
All entry fees are non-refundable should the crew decide to withdraw from the race or should the race be canceled for reasons beyond the Event Organizer’s control.

Step 1: Decide if you are you a Club Crew Team, SPORTS Team or a Community Team
Club Crew Team
A Club Crew Team is a team that practices regularly together and competes multiple times per year and is registered sport team with a club or organization they paddle for. These are crew teams that Dragon Boat as a competitive sport.
***NEW*** SPORT Team
A SPORT Team is a mixed team that is in between the Club Crew Team and the Community Team for competitiveness. The team may reside inside or outside of Connecticut. This division will be more competitive than the local Community Teams and practice together. This team registration does not include pre-race practices.
Community Team
Community teams race with one primary goal: to have fun! A Community team is sometimes new to the sport or an existing team that typically only race once a year. A community team MUST be located within Connecticut. There are (3) options within the community division. A general Community Team, a Corporate Team or a Non-Profit Team.

- Cross Rostering details: Sport division is mixed gender boat, a sport Division rostered paddler may ONLY cross roster on a Women's Team, ACP Team or BCP Team. You may NOT cross roster onto another Mixed Team.
Community Corporate Teams:
$1,450 Early Bird Special (until March 6, 2024)

Community and Non-Profit Teams:
$1,200 Early Bird Special (until March 6, 2024)

*You may opt to enter your team in a specific division, however please note, divisions that have less than 3 teams registered will not be officially contested. Riverfront Recapture reserves the right to join these registered teams together with other best matched racing categories.

IMPORTANT: Division Changes
Please insure you are choosing the correct division when registering. If a team needs to change divisions after the registration has been submitted there will be a 5% credit card refund/reprocessing fee added to your purchase.
